At least there is one giant out there not launching their own managed services and instead creating products to enable MSPs to do their jobs more efficiently. If you haven’t checked out Intel’s small business MSP push around their vPro chip set you should take a few minutes to check it out as I guaranty we will all be utilizing the features over the course of 08 and beyond.

Now if anyone from Intel is out there reading this I am interested to know where you came up with this marketing pitch: “big-business IT on a small-business budget”?
Over the course of the last few years we have spoken with just about every major player out there looking to make their push into the managed services market and I would claim, as outrageous as it sounds, that we gave this pitch to Intel when they flew out to Boston to meet us. I know we signed a confidentiality agreement around the information we shared but I had no idea they liked this line so much – it is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Anyway believe me or not I still think it is worth the time to check out the vPro chip set to figure out how it will help you keep the cost of services desktops down.
