I have shared the contents of an email back and forth with Amie from Dell’s MSP partner programs as I thought it would be valuable and only fair after my ranting to share the conversation.
I have to say I am impressed with Dell’s ability to be out in the market staying in touch with managed service providers and eliciting feedback from us.
If you have thoughts or feelings on the name of Dell’s channel / partner blog url please feel free to leave comments for Amie.

Josh, thanks for the feedback. We have both of those in the running, do you think PartnerDirect is known by the outside world?
We also have PartnerDirect Channel as an option… a play upon words, maybe the word ‘channel’ adds meaning with those not familiar to our programs?

I have run the options by a few people I have spoken with over the last week and we all came back focused on Partnerdirectblog.com. The reason behind this is that the word partner vs channel elicits feelings of a tighter relationship with Dell. While we understand that the word is not going to change the program we believe you will be better received and have a more positive response to this word.
We also liked Insidepartnerdirect.com as an option for this same reason but felt that would only work if you had a program called Partner Direct - thus making the blog name make sense.
