Yep onenote IS awesome

Not using it as part of a solution but definitely using it internally

Just a couple of examples

1) Training - we recently hired a junior support guy. He uses onenote to store anything he picks up from a technical perspective on a day-to-day basis

2) Purchasing - If i’m doing some research into product i use the “send to onenote” feature to grab stuff into a note. I can than annote this as i need instead of having little pieces of paper floating around my desk it’s right there

3) Recording - sometimes i want to grab a document so i can send it electronically. I used the “print to onenote” feature to save the file as an image. i can then it anywhere and it’s still searchable while in my notes!

Mike,

I think you may have seen OneNote on my managers screen; (Dave M) but we at TNSC survive on onenote. As a Techies myself I was originally very opposed to the onenote system in the begining but now I survive on it. Our PSA system (CW) is great for all things offical but onenote provides great an layer of flexabilty, collaboration and ease of use that thus far has been unmatched by anything else.

I use OneNote for all my note taking during meetings and conference calls. Much more flexible and dynamic than notepad or Word for that purpose.

Can later easily be translated into full fledged document depending on your needs.

Great examples everyone - thanks for the feedback! My head was spinning when I first saw it…it seemed like such a simple solution to a problem I didn’t even know I had before I saw it! We’ll put it to a good test here at Everon.

Thanks again,

Mike

I have been using it for over 4 years now. I dont think I could function without it. All my meetings and reseach notes go into it. Any articles/blogs I find on the web that I want to save go into it as well.

Recently we have stated using it with SharePoint and Microsoft CRM to share notes among our techs.
