Dells “Deal Registration” is a crock. There are so many conditions that after ten registrations I’ve given up on them ever letting me win. And guess what, it seems my deal registrations prompt the sales reps to call my clients and ask “are you shopping for anything.” They then take these deals saying they had a prior business relationship because the company bought a laptop on the web five years ago. Further, my costs are never lower than what my clients can get from Dell direct because Dell has what they call “Aquisition Discounts” meaning for new customers they will discount more than anything else. We do about $500K with Dell and have a love/hate relationship.
